Fiber Challenge 2008

The fiber challenge for 2008 was announced at the luncheon on June 21.

2008-2009 Challenge Project: This year, color will be the center of our challenge project. We will begin in May with guest speaker Heidi Goldberg who will get us started thinking about ways we might use color in our fiber arts.

Our challenge will be to find a source of color that is inspiring, such as a painting, wallpaper design, picture, an advertisement or even a trip into the backwoods. Then, by using dyes to recreate the colors or by selecting fibers or yarns already colored -- create an item to share at our May Luncheon in 2009.

This year can be a time to look at the world of color through refreshed eyes, to try out a combination of colors outside of our usual selection and another opportunity to learn from each other. Happy coloring and creating!!
